Northern-Soul.com is being rebuilt from the ground up! I've been running a northern soul website since the mid 90's. Unfortunately I made a poor choice with the last incarnation of the site, and the content management system that I was using has fallen into decay over time and is no longer being updated. As a result, things have started to cease to work over time to the point that it has hardly been updated in a long time.

If you have stumbled across the site because you are interested in northern soul or are wondering what it's about then the video above might set the scene slightly (it's a documentary from the 1970s about northern soul) but it's only a fraction of the story because the northern soul scene didn't die when the Wigan Casino closed down (despite what you might be told from some people via the media) - it has carried on, grown, changed, matured and is now far more complex (and interesting) than it was back then - but it's an interesting grounding in where it all came about.

Anyway, back to this  Northern Soul site - so, does the world need another northern soul site? Probably not. However, seeing as I have this domain and have had it for a long time, and I'm still very much into northern soul music, I've decided to revive it with a brand new and hopefully well supported CMS for my own entertainment and if some of you would like to register and post, then that would be great but if not, that's no problem at all.

It's VERY early days, as you can see, so check back in a while to see where I'm up too!
